A redesigned solar proposal tool that enhances efficiency, improves user experience, and aligns with Enphase product standards for installers.
Context
The existing proposal tool was slow and outdated, taking over five minutes to generate a proposal. This inefficiency impacted both businesses and customers. The design needed modernization to improve usability, streamline workflows, and maintain branding consistency for Enphase installers.
My Role
Responsible for the UX/UI of the Proposal Tool, optimizing user workflows, and implementing design system improvements.
Challenges
Reducing proposal creation time while maintaining accuracy.

Research
The research focused on understanding the inefficiencies in the proposal creation process. A mix of usability testing, competitive analysis, and heuristic evaluations identified bottlenecks in navigation, system feedback, and customization options. Benchmarked similar tools in the solar industry to analyze best practices for optimizing workflows.
Interview
After our team conducted a series of interviews with solar installers, sales teams, and business owners, we were able to understand motivations as well as blockers for generating proposal for home owners and the pain points involved with both.
Installers needed better navigation and progress indicators to avoid redundant steps.
Sales teams required faster ways to generate and modify proposals in real time.
Business owners wanted predefined templates to ensure branding consistency while allowing customization.
